Oxford police are continuing to look for a 16-year-old runaway student, but investigators now say they believe she is safe.

Police posted on social media last week that they were searching for Brenna Koelblin, a Talawanda High School student who was last seen on New Year’s Eve. In an update this morning, police say Koelblin has been in communication with people she knows.

“We believe she is safe and we still believe her to be in the Hamilton/Fairfield area. She dyed her hair darker and cut it a bit,” police said in the updated post with a new photo.

She is about 5-foot-4 and 110 pounds. Those with any information are encouraged to call local police immediately and report the sighting or call Oxford police at 513-524-5240.
