The man said he was visiting his girlfriend’s house in the 100 block of South Main Street when her roommate returned there having been infected with the COVID-19 virus. The victim said he asked her about her symptoms and why she thought it was a good idea to return to the house. She reportedly became offended by the questions and deliberately coughed in his face, according to the report.
She was not named in the report because she had not yet been formally charged.
He said his girlfriend and other roommates could confirm his statement.
He said he was supposed to go home soon to assist in caring for his 90-year-old grandmother but would now be unable to do so because of the incident.
