The four people killed in the crash are:
- Renee D. Jones-Blevins, 49
- Quaishia M. D. Jones, 28
- Tae'Kwaun Jones, 10
- Mae'Iah Jones, 5
The four others injured in the crash Wednesday morning all remain in critical condition at area hospitals, Dayton police Lt. James Mullins said during a media availability Thursday afternoon.

All occupants in the car are believed to be members of the same family, however police were not sure if they were immediate family members or extended, Mullins said.
Both adults in the car, the driver identified as 49-year-old Renee D. Jones-Blevins, and 28-year-old Quaishia M. D. Jones were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims killed in the crash were identified as 5-year-old Mae’Iah Jones and 10-year-old Tae’Kwaun Jones, Mullins said.
The ages of the four others injured in the crash ranged from 12-years-old to 1-year-old.

The crash occurred Wednesday near the intersection of West Third Street and Brooklyn Avenue around 11 a.m. The impact of the crash caused the car to split into two parts and catch fire.
The marked speed limit on the stretch of West Third Street where the crash occurred is 35 mph.
Police said the car in the crash was a Dodge Avenger, which was designed to only carry up to five people inside, Mullins said.
Police continue to urge witnesses of the crash to contact officers with information to help their investigation.
