Officials investigating possible coronavirus exposure on Middletown, Butler County buses

Butler County health officials are reporting a possible coronavirus exposure on multiple city of Middletown Transit and Butler County Regional Transit Authority buses in recent weeks.

The Butler County General Health District said in a news release that “people who were on MTS and BCRTA Blue Line and Green Line in Middletown during the hours of 6:30 AM – 1:30 PM, from May 27 – June 5, are asked to please self-monitor for 14 days after your last ride on any of these routes, during the dates listed.”

The health department is contacting people who were believed to be in contact with the person who was infected.

Officials are asking the public to be aware of these symptoms of the coronavirus:

• Fever, including temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher

•  Chills

•  Cough

•  Shortness of Breath or new difficulty breathing

•  New fatigue

•  New muscle or body aches

•  New headache

•  New loss of taste or smell

•  Sore throat

•  New Congestion or runny nose

•  Nausea or vomiting

• New diarrhea
