New Chipotle coming to Hamilton’s West Side

A Chipotle Mexican Grill is coming to Hamilton’s West Side, city officials have said. But they aren’t sure when the restaurant will be opening.

The Journal-News reported yesterday that Chipotle will also be adding a location in Middletown, which will include one of the company's new drive-thru pickup options.

The Hamilton restaurant is planned for a lot next to the Bob Evans that is located at 1461 Main St., which is in front of the AMC Classic Hamilton 8 theater.

“For a timeline? My understanding was that they really wanted to move fast, but I don’t know an exact timeline,” said city Planning Director Liz Hayden.

The proposed location is not far from the location of a new Goodwill store at 1555 Main St.

Another recent development for Hamilton’s West Side — this one involving entertainment — was last week’s start of professional wrestling, with Future Great Wrestling’s Friday Night Fury event at 190 N. Brookwood Ave.
