“Point Blank”, a movie shot in Cincinnati, was recently released on Netflix as the latest filmed in the Queen City.

Frank Grillo and Anthony Mackie, who starred in “Capitan America: The Winter Soldier” together, headline this film about a emergency room doctor who teams up with an injured murder suspect to save his pregnant wife.

Shots from the film that pictured the city included Over-the-Rhine, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Colerain Avenue, and others. The film is a remake of the 2010 French film “À Bout Portant”, meaning Point Blank in English.

On IMDB, reviewers score the film 5.7 out of 10 with many referring to it as mediocre. IGN surmised that “Point Blank’s production bones are solid and the action itself is clear and capable, but the story is woefully past its expiration date and the attempt to tether it back to the types of “action movies we grew up with” falls flat.”
