Power restored for Butler County residents after crash causes outage

UPDATE @ 7:08 a.m: Power is restored for Butler County residents after a Monday morning crash caused more than 2,500 homes to be without power.

UPDATE @ 6:17 a.m: Crews are working to restore power in Butler County after a vehicle crashed into a pole on Wayne-Madison Road early Monday morning.

Initially, there were more than 2,500 residents without power due to power lined being affected, but the number has now decreased to around 2,300.

There are no updates outside of the outage maps and it is still not clear when power will be restored.

More than 2,500 Butler County residents are without power after a vehicle crashed into a pole early Monday morning, according to officials.

The Duke Energy outage map shows a bulk of the outages are in the Trenton area.

The crash occurred on Wayne-Madison Road where a vehicle crashed into a pole, knocking the pole and power lines down.

No word on if the driver suffered any injuries.
