Butler County General Health District officials have announced two more deaths from those who tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The district said there were two deaths confirmed in the county on Wednesday, one in Middletown and a man in his 50s who lived in the 45013 zip code, which is the Fairfield and Hamilton area. No information is yet available on the Middletown death. Officials said they would not disclose any other information because of privacy concerns.

The death in the 45013 ZIP code reported to the county agency is the youngest person yet to have succumbed to the illness in the county. There had been two people in their 60s, four in their 70s and two in their 80s before that death.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends.” Health Commissioner Jennifer Bailer said. “This serves as a very unfortunate reminder that older persons are not the only age group at risk of dying from this serious disease.”

The latest numbers on the county’s website show 357 confirmed and four probable coronavirus cases.
