Middletown police memorial ceremony set for Thursday

Middletown police will hold a memorial service marking national Peace Officer Memorial Week on Thursday.

The event, open to the public, will be held rain or shine at Woodside Cemetery beginning at 4:30 p.m.

A Police Memorial/Awards Dinner will be held Thursday evening, which is is a private event to honor “employees who go above and beyond every day for our community as well as recognize our retired employees who paved the way for the rest of us,” according to the department.
