Since 1979, the longest wooden roller coaster in the world has given over 54 million rides and each train has traveled over 900,000 miles - or the equivalent of 35 times around the world.
When the park opens next Saturday on April 20, Kings Island will commemorate the 40th anniversary of The Beast with newly repainted trains that resemble the original flame-inspired color palette it had in 1979.
They will also give riders of the first 40 trains a 40th anniversary t-shirt.
