Despite being in the name, chicken isn’t king at Chick-fil-A.

The company recently released a list of its top 10 most-sold items in 2018, which you can view below. But you should know that the top spot went to a fast-fried wavy waffly tubular tuber.

Yes, the waffle fry is the top-selling item at Chick-fil-A.

The chain, of course with its roots in metro Atlanta dating back to 1946, is poised to become the third-largest chain in the United States, according to one study, putting it behind McDonald's and Starbucks.

The company announced about six months ago it would open its first international franchise, in Toronto.

As far as most-ordered, certainly chicken has to come next, right? Nope. Think about this logically. What does a french fry need more than chicken? A soft drink.

Finally, at No. 3, is an order of chicken nuggets.
