Hearing continued for man charged with vehicular homicide in Middletown

The pre-trial hearing for a suburban Cincinnati man charged with vehicular homicide has been continued until next month, according to Middletown Municipal Court records.

Bryce Kauffman, 25, of Colerain Twp., was scheduled to have his pre-trial hearing last week, but it was continued until March 10, according to records.

Kauffman allegedly ran a red light Jan. 6 at the corner of Verity Parkway and Lafayette Avenue. Teresa Day, 63, of Middletown, was killed in the crash.

Kauffman’s American Tire Distributors box truck struck Day’s Ford Fusion and pushed the car into a semi truck that was stopped at the red light, according to police.

Day was taken to Atrium Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. She was the only person injured in the crash, police said.
