Fresh off her fifth consecutive MMA victory, Kayla Harrison, a two-time Olympic gold medalist from Middletown, will return home Saturday for the grand opening of a martial arts studio.

Harrison will appear from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Budokai Academy of Martial Arts, 1725 Yankee Road. The business offers a wide range of classes and camps, according to its website.

On Thursday night, Harrison defeated Morgan Frier at Professional Fighters League 4 2019, securing her spot in the PFL 2019 playoffs.

Harrison won judo gold medals in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.
