Spring has sprung and the local farmers, bakers, coffee roasters, and crafters are ready for the start of the 2017 farmers market season.

The Village Green Farmers Market in Fairfield opens for its second season May 3.

The market is held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, May 3 through Oct. 18, in Village Green Park.

Opening day specialties include live music from the Butler Tech School of Arts Jazz Band, the Wandering Coffee Company, Legasea Café and PowerBlendz Smoothie trucks, and more.

Also new this season is the Village Green Kids Club. Bring the entire family and let them try a new food, check out the new activities, and get their first stamp in their market passbook.

Throughout the season, the market will showcase farm fresh produce, locally raised meat, baked goods, allergy friendly foods, handcrafted artisan goods, and more.

Live music and childrens activities will be provided each week. A variety of food trucks and vendors will rotate throughout the season.

New vendors are also welcome to apply. Contact Tiffany Acuff, market manager, at 513-867-5348 or tacuff@fairfield-city.org for more information.
