Police: Mother, daughter fatally shot in Madison County; suspect also dead

A mother and daughter were shot and killed today at a home in London, and police say the shooter is dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

The victims were identified as 41-year-old Yaisa Cordero and her daughter, 25-year-old Joceline Cordero, police told our news partner WBNS-TV in Columbus. The shootings happened around noon at a home on Landis Lane near U.S. 42.

Police said the suspect, 54-year-od James Evans Jr., was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was an ex-boyfriend of Yaisa Cordero, police told WBNS.

Police tell the station they are currently looking for a suspect but a description of the suspect or suspect vehicle was not provided.
