Cincinnati TV meteorologist Hedrick dies after ‘elusive disease’

Tim Hedrick, a TV meteorologist in Cincinnati for decades, died Saturday after a long battle with an “elusive disease,” according to an article posted on the Local 12 (WKRC) website.

“Tim has been battling an elusive disease for many years,” Local 12’s Rob Braun wrote on the TV station’s website. “The worst of the battle has been over the last two months, which is why you haven’t seen him on the air next to me.”

Hedrick attended Iowa State University, where he majored in both meteorology and speech, according to Local 12.

Viewers and even competitors shared their sympathies on social media Saturday evening following the announcement of his death.

A memorial service will be held in the coming weeks, according to Local 12.
