“Moving out of all the schools would have been just a monumental task to do in eight days,” Corbin told the Journal-News.
DeWine issued a number of recommendations on Tuesday but none involved moving polls out of schools.
BOE officials also said “we encourage voters to take advantage of Ohio’s ample early voting opportunities.”
The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the March 17 election is noon on March 14 and ballots must be postmarked by the day before the election in order to be counted. Voters can also drop ballots off at the Butler County Board of Elections on election day by 7:30 p.m.
