Birk said Jones was found walking near a residence in the 400 block of Curtis Street and he was arrested without incident. He said witnesses gave police a description of the vehicle and that led to finding Jones.
INITIAL REPORT: A Cincinnati man has been charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault for his alleged involvement in a shooting last week in Middletown.
Middletown police were looking for Scott Alexander Jones Jr., 27, who allegedly shot someone in the leg Wednesday night in the 2100 block of Hill Street, said Middletown police Chief David Birk.

Jones were arrested Friday and appeared for his arraignment this morning in Middletown Municipal Court. Judge James Sherrron set bond at $750,000, and Jones remains in the Middletown City Jail.
His preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to court documents.
Police were looking for Jones as a suspect in the shooting.
When questioned by police, the man found shot and lying on a porch said he didn’t know who shot him or what happened, according to the police report.

Witnesses told police they heard three gun shots and saw a car leaving the scene with no headlights on.
A bullet hole was found in a vacant residence in the 2100 block of Hill Avenue and police recovered three shell casings, the report read.
