Blood donors needed: How to help after Cincinnati shooting

Hoxworth Blood Center is encouraging people to donate blood after a shooting in downtown Cincinnati left four people, including the shooter, dead and several injured.

“More blood donors are needed to assure an adequate supply for all community needs,” Hoxworth posted on Twitter.

Hoxworth said it is “providing blood to meet current patient needs from the Sept. 6 Downtown shooting incident.”

Anderson: 7715 Five Mile Road

Blue Ash: 9708 Kenwood Road

Tri-County: 11812 Springfield Pike

University of Cincinnati: 3130 Highland Ave.

West Chester Twp.: 7844 Kingland Drive

Western Hills: 6323 Glenway Ave.

Northern Kentucky: 2220 Grandview Drive

Most locations will be open until 7 p.m. today for those who would like to donate blood.
