Until Youtsler retired in November 2018, he worked with the same two barbers, Pete Kurtz and Ishmael “Charlie” DeBord, for 50 years.
The barber shop was featured in the Journal-News last year.

Youtsler loved being a barber and found it to be a “privilege to partake in the lives of his customers,” according to his obituary.
He would often say, “I’m going to paradise” when he drove to “the shop,” his obituary read.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany. He was a community volunteer in many school and service organizations throughout the years. He also served on City Council and as Vice Mayor of Monroe.
In his spare time, he enjoyed boating and skiing and especially loved his dogs, Molly and Peanut.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Kathryn F. (Bednarczuk) Youtsler; children, Amy (Gregory) Tremoglie, Dr. David (Heidi) Youtsler and Dr. Mary Beth (Sam) Privitera; siblings, Marshall (Brenda) Youtsler, Karen Connaroe and Marsha (Tony) Kakaris; 10 grandchildren, Marissa, Juliana, Mark, Sophia, Ellena, Hannah, Matthew, Cross, Brady and Josie; and one great-grandchild, Amelia.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery with military honors presented.
