The location was one of 100 the Israeli-based franchise quietly shuttered as it considers a Chapter 11 reorganization, a form of bankruptcy, according to a report by Restaurant Business.

The chain also has failed to compensate its spokesman, Instagram star Foodgod, who has made appearances on the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spinoffs, according to Restaurant Business.
The restaurant was one of several new businesses that opened in Bridgewater Falls in 2019. Other making their debut included Paradigm Beauty, Orange Theory Fitness and Carter’s.
A Mexican cuisine restaurant will open in the first quarter of this year, according to a spokesperson for RPT Realty, which owns Bridgewater Falls.
The 65-acre lifestyle center is in negotiations with other national tenants and is seeking new local and regional restaurants and retailers to complement the existing businesses, she said.
Burgerim locations offered more than 10 different patties including Dry-Aged Beef, Salmon, Crispy Chicken and Falafel, along with a variety of toppings and house-made sauces.
It was one of the "hottest, fastest-growing brands in the U.S.," said Restaurant Business Executive Editor Jonathan Maze. "Then its founder left the country, leaving behind a wreckage of unpaid workers, bankrupt franchisees and others struggling to make it work."

Burgerim did not return requests for comment Monday.
