UPDATED at 3:40 p.m.

Hamilton School officials said the bus involved in a crash on Eaton Avenue was carrying students home from nearby Hamilton High School and ninth-graders from Hamilton Freshman School.

Joni Copas, spokeswoman for the city schools, said “about 45 students were on board and we are not aware of any injuries to any student.”

The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:11 p.m. in the Butler County city, took place at 981 Eaton Ave. in front of the Flub’s Ice Cream stand, according to Butler County police dispatchers.

Hamilton School officials did not immediately respond to requests for information.
