“There is police activity in the area so we pulled the kids off the playground. The students were free to move about inside the building as normal,” said Beadle.
“We took the action on the advice of the school’s SRO (school resource officer),” she said of the armed city police officers that work in the city schools.

Beadle said city police have since advised all is clear and students are now back outside on the playground.
The school, which is at 1210 Verity Parkway in the southern portion of the Butler County city, is near Barnitz Stadium.
