Hamilton Schools officials released a statement after local police dispatchers reported paramedics attended to a student at the Butler County school.
“Today at the Hamilton Freshman School, a student suffered a health emergency that required the intervention of paramedics. Upon learning of the circumstances that prompted this health emergency, school officials took immediate and appropriate action to address the situation,” read the statement released by Hamilton Schools’ spokeswoman Joni Copas.
“The physical health and safety of other students were not jeopardized by this particular student’s health emergency,” according to the statement.
“It is our understanding the student at issue is currently receiving medical treatment and we hope this student returns to full health very soon. We are planning to provide the student with support upon the student’s return to school.”
Hamilton school officials declined to provide further information.
“Student privacy laws prevent us from releasing any additional information regarding this matter,” read their statement.
