Butler County schools now registering kindergarten students

Kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year has started at several Butler County school districts.

HAMILTON CITY SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 to register for kindergarten.

To register a student, call the school to schedule an appointment on the following dates:

  • April 17: Bridgeport Elementary: 513-868-5580
  • April 18: Brookwood Elementary: 513-868-5590
  • April 19: Ridgeway Elementary: 513-868-5640
  • April 20: Highland Elementary: 513- 868-5620
  • April 24: Fairwood Elementary: 513-868-5610
  • April 25: Crawford Woods Elementary: 513-868-5600
  • April 26: Linden Elementary: 513-868-5630
  • April 27: Riverview Elementary: 513-868-5650

A parent should bring: child’s birth certificate, child’s Social Security card, proof of residency, custodial papers (if applicable), and required immunization records signed by a doctor or clinic.

MIDDLETOWN CITY SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 to register for kindergarten.

To register a student, call the school to schedule an appointment between March 6-31:

Enrollment after March 31 can be completed at the district offices in the Middletown City Building at One Donham Plaza.

A parent should bring: proof of child’s age, proof of residency, and proof of child’s immunizations.

LAKOTA LOCAL SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 in order to enroll in half-day or all-day kindergarten. Families can register for kindergarten at the Lakota Enrollment Center, 8735 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, on the following dates:

  • Feb. 27 to March 3 for Wyandot Early Childhood School
  • March 6-10 for Creekside Early Childhood School
  • March 13-17 for Shawnee Early Childhood School
  • March 20-24 for Liberty Early Childhood School
  • March 27-31 for any building

FAIRFIELD CITY SCHOOLS

Kindergarten registration will be handled at the Student Registration Center, 4641 Bach Lane. Registration is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays with special evening hours through 7 p.m. on April 5, 12, 19, and 26.

TALAWANDA LOCAL SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 to register for kindergarten.

The district will hold kindergarten registration by appointment only during these dates

  • April 3 for Bogan Elementary. An informational meeting will take place at 7 p.m. March 28 at the school.
  • April 6 for Kramer Elementary. An informational meeting will take place at 7 p.m. March 30 at the school.
  • April 11 for Marshall Elementary. An informational meeting will take place at 7 p.m. April 6 at the school.

Enrollment packets may also be picked up from the school office and returned prior to June 1.

MONROE LOCAL SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1.

Kindergarten registration packets are available between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Monroe Primary Office, 225 Macready Road.

MADISON LOCAL SCHOOLS

Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1.

Madison Local Schools kindergarten registration packets are available in the Central Registration Office at Madison Elementary School, 5795 W. Alexandria Road.

Kindergarten registration packets can be returned weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through March 24.
