People from out of the area interested in working at Kings Island are closer than ever to an option that will save them the time it would take to commute.

Construction on a new associate dormitory facility that will open in May at the 364-acre theme park is nearing completion.

One Team Village will house 400 associates during the park’s main operating season, providing an affordable dormitory housing option for those who live more than 25 miles from the park at just $65 per week.

FIRST REPORT: Kings Island plans to add housing for out-of-area employees

The new housing option includes:

• a recreation center with big-screen televisions

• a convenience store

• free Wi-Fi

• 24/7 security

• community kitchen space

Those applying for the new housing must be 18 years old or older and room priority will be given to associates with permanent residence of 25 miles or greater distance from Kings Island. Housing will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kings Island has more than 5,000 positions available. A job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 23.

Job opportunities include rides, food and beverage, admissions, call center, entertainment, finance, fire and safety, guest services, lifeguards, merchandise, park services, security and the warehouse.
