JCPenney plans to hire as many as 800 seasonal associates for a variety of store positions throughout Ohio, with as many as 70 in the Greater Cincinnati area, 60 in the Greater Dayton area, 100 in the Columbus metro area and 130 in the Cleveland-Akron area.

Available customer service and support positions include cashier, replenishment specialist, SEPHORA inside JCPenney beauty consultant and more. JCPenney offers seasonal associates a full associate discount up to 25 percent, as well as flexible holiday scheduling.

Additionally, JCPenney is seeking experienced stylists to be part of the company’s industry-leading salon program. A premier commission plan enables incoming stylists with robust client books to set their own hours and pricing, while enjoying some of the highest commissions of any salon chain.

Highly experienced stylists can also take advantage of flexible scheduling with no booth rental fees. JCPenney salon stylists get perks such as paid artistic training, health benefits for full-time stylists, paid time off and 401K eligibility.

Those candidates hired as seasonal associates have the opportunity to be hired as permanent associates, as needed on a store-by-store basis.

Four hiring events in one day

This Wednesday, Ohio Means Jobs-Butler County, 4631 Dixie Highway, Fairfield, will hold four hiring events for the following entities: Census 2020 (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), then BC Forward and Triumph from 1 to 3 p.m. and Hamilton Casework Solutions from 1 to 4 p.m.

The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people nationwide to assist with the 2020 Census count. It is hiring for a variety of temporary jobs, including census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff, and supervisory staff. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number and be a U.S. citizen.

BC Forward has employment opportunities at Xerox in Middletown for 1st and 2nd shifts for temp-to-hire positions with overtime available, plus production 1st shift, production 2nd shift, warehouse, warehouse 2nd shift. Certification is available on site for forklift positions.
