Investigation at Fairfield massage parlor leads to prostitution charge

A 48-year-old woman has been charged with prostitution after police conducted an investigation at the Sun Spa in Fairfield.

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the sheriff’s Butler County Undercover Narcotics Task Force and Fairfield police officers responded to Sun Spa at 6660 Dixie Hwy. after receiving a complaint that the massage parlor had been operating as a prostitution business, according to police release.

The two police agencies, along with the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, said in a release they conducted two search warrants that netted the seizure of $5,000 and the arrest of Min Wang of Texas.

Wang was charged with a prostitution, a third-degree misdemeanor. It’s not clear if Wang is the owner of the business or an employee.

Sun Spa is in a multi-tenant building at the corner of Dixie Highway and Seward Road.

The investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office. Wang was arraigned in Fairfield Municipal Court Wednesday afternoon. Her surety bond was set at $75,000, according to court records. Wang was ordered to find an attorney before her next hearing, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
