HAMILTON — An 80-year-old woman with dementia has returned home safely after being missing for around 24 hours, Hamilton police said.

Police issued a critical missing adult alert Saturday morning for Nancy Herald — who also suffers from diabetes — after she went missing Friday afternoon. Herald drove away from her home and was seen in Hamilton County and near CVG airport before returning home on Saturday around 2 p.m.

Police didn’t specify if Herald brought herself home or if someone else found her.
