Hamilton police chief saves puppy from traffic

The dog warden has transported the puppy to the Animal Friends Humane Society.

INITIAL REPORT:

A puppy is safe and warm today after it was rescued from traffic by Hamilton Police Chief Craig Bucheit.

Bucheit tweeted that he saw the little black and white dog running down Neilan Boulevard this snowy morning and stopped to help.

The puppy hid under Bucheit’s car, but was eventually rescued to safety.

The puppy is now at the Hamilton Police Department, but they need help finding its owner.
