Hamilton police apprehend 2 following shots fired, search for third suspect

Hamilton police apprehended two suspects after a report of shots fired and were in search of a third suspect on Sunday.

The incident happened around 3:25 p.m. when police responded following two calls for shots fired, one on Carriage Hill Lane and the second three miles to the south on Freeman Avenue.

Police found shell casings on the ground, but no one reported being struck by the any of the bullets.

The suspects reportedly attempted to evade police by heading south on state Route 4 toward Fairfield, then doubling back north.

Police located the vehicle near Knightsbridge Drive and South Second Street, after it rear-ended another vehicle in an alley. They apprehended two suspects, including the vehicle’s driver.

At least one suspect is a juvenile.

Police continued to search the area for a third suspect, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
