The fences around the park will remain up until late April to let the sod root in better, he said.
“It’s going to be a fabulous park,” Timmer said. “It’s going to be a crown jewel of Hamilton.”
The Hamilton Flea, a flea market that is curated for quality, variety and price, will move to the park this summer.

“We’ve still got a few things to do, but mostly, it’s just incidentals,” Timmer said. “We’ve still got to get the garbage cans, benches, stuff like that.”
The park will encompass the RiversEdge Amphitheater along the river, and the amphitheater officially will be called “RiversEdge Amphitheater at Marcum Park.”
The park is surrounded by the Great Miami River to the west; Dayton Street and the Courtyard by Marriott to the south; North Second Street to the east and Buckeye Street on the north.
The proposed Marcum Apartments are to be located south of the park and east of the Marriott.
