Losing a child is hard, and Sandle has worked to show strength following her son’s death as she has organized several events to help raise awareness about her son’s murder. Last year, she came up with a way to help heal during the first anniversary of his death.

She asked people in the community to perform a random act of kindness, which would be a way to honor her son’s memory.
“I am reaching out to you to perform a random act of kindness in memory of C.J.,” Sandle said.
This year, Sandle is once again reaching out to people to keep the idea going.
“My son was murdered on Jan. 13, 2016, and last year we did the random acts of kindness in his honor and once again we are doing it this year,” she said. “I am asking for all of the people in Butler County and everywhere to do anything, one small act of kindness can change a person’s whole day.”
She added that the person who murdered her son “was not kind,” and she is hoping that people with information about the crime will step up and give information to the police.
There will also be a candlelight vigil help to honor C.J. at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Millville Church of the Nazarene.
Hamilton Police Sgt. Brian Robinson said two detectives are actively investigating C.J.’s homicide. He said there is a reward of $10,000 that is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
