One man is dead and a woman is in critical condition following a shooting in eastern Warren County, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Initial investigations show that a man was found dead in the driveway of a residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and a woman also suffered a gunshot wound, the release said.

A CareFlight medical helicopter was requested around 8:59 a.m. and the woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition.

The shooting was reported in the 3400 block of state Route 132 in Washington Twp., the release stated.

Deputies were called to the home about an assault with a weapon, according to the incident run sheet.

The identities of the victims have not been released.
