Two of the firearms seized had previously been reported stolen, according to the sheriff’s office.
Jeffrey Scott King, 48, was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both are third-degree felonies.
“This was a great investigation that ends with another illegal business stopped,” said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones in a press release. “These guys always work diligently to get people like this locked up and drugs and guns off our streets.”
The drugs have a street value of $23,000, according to Butler County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Hackney. More charges will be added against King when the case is presented to a Butler County grand jury, he said.
King appeared Thursday in Fairfield Municipal Court and is free on a $20,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Dec. 6, according to court records.
