Her name will not be released until her next of kin can be contacted.
The woman was driving east on Stillwell Beckett near Oxford Reily Road when she struck the stopped trash truck, police said. She was transported to McCullough Hyde Hospital.
It's unclear what led the crash. The road was closed in both directions as police investigated the crash.
Martin Schneider, administrator for the Butler County Coroner’s Office, told the Journal-News an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.
“After the autopsy has been performed, we will relay the preliminary findings to the family,” Schneider said. “After that, we will release any information that we can to the public.”
