Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check along with pre-employment assessments focused on technology skills and customer service behaviors such as empathy and problem solving, according to StarTek.

A second call center opening in Hamilton, Barclaycard US, is also hiring. Barclaycard is a payments business and a division of United Kingdom-based Barclays Bank. On Aug. 17, it was announced the company selected Hamilton's Vora Technology Park to open the call center, promising to create about 1,500 new jobs in coming years and to invest more than $9 million in the project. Plans are to add up to 250 new employees next year at Vora Technology with operations beginning in January.
