A Dayton man was arrested this afternoon after a brief police chase that started in West Chester Twp. and ended with him crashing his car in Sharonville.

West Chester police arrested Davon Rupert, 30, and charged him with failure to comply to an officer’s order, a fourth-degree felony, after a short chase, according to township spokeswoman Barb Wilson. Rupert rear-ended another car on Kemper Road just east of Mosteller in Sharonville. No one was injured.

Wilson said West Chester Police ran the plate on his car while he was parked at Tri County Inn on Ohio 747 and found he was wanted on Dayton warrants for felonious assault and abduction.

The police deployed stop sticks at the inn but Rupert was able to avoid them, Wilson said. West Chester and Sharonville police were in on the chase that ended at around 11 a.m. Wilson said Sharonville police will be conducting the investigation.
