Carr was asked by police if she had anything illegal when she was transported to the police department, according to police. She told officers no, according to a report.
But a corrections officer found two bags that contained 4.18 grams of methamphetamine in Carr’s possession, the record read.
Carr, a passenger in a car, was stopped Dec. 29 by police near the Riverfront Motel. The car, police said, was known in “reference to narcotics.” While traveling south on Verity Parkway, both of the driver’s side tires crossed over the double yellow line, according to police.
Carr showed officers she had a marijuana pipe in her left hand.
The driver, William Clark, 33, of Middletown, did not have a valid driver’s license and the car was towed. He was issued a traffic citation for driving under a failed to reinstate license and driving on the right side of the roadway.
Carr will have her preliminary hearing this afternoon in Middletown Municipal Court. Clark will have his arraignment on Tuesday, according to court records.
