UPDATE @ 4:23 p.m. THURSDAY, Nov. 17: West Chester Police are making another plea to the public for help in identifying a suspect in a robbery earlier this month.

The Fifth Third Bank inside Kroger on Tylersville Road was robbed in the afternoon of Nov. 3 by a man dressed in black wearing gloves, a mask and a black hat with colorful puzzle pieces. It’s believed to be a Cincinnati Reds Autism Awareness hat.

West Chester Twp. officials say surveillance images show few clues but believe shoppers in the store or parking lot at the time of the robbery may remember seeing the man.

The suspect entered the Kroger at 7853 Tylersville Road just after 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 and approached a bank teller and demanded money be placed into a brown plastic Kroger bag. An undisclosed amount of money was surrendered to the suspect, who then fled the store through a rear door.

A black SUV may have been involved in the offense.

UPDATE @ 3:30 p.m. FRIDAY, Nov. 3: West Chester Police have released surveillance photos of a suspect in Thursday afternoon's bank robbery.

The Fifth Third Bank inside the Kroger store at Tylersville and Cox roads was robbed by a man shortly after 3 p.m., according to police.

A man wearing a face covering and baseball hat went to the teller and demanded cash. The thief did not show a firearm. The man left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

ORIGINAL REPORT: A bank on Tylersville Road in West Chester Twp. has been robbed.

A man entered a Fifth Third Bank, 7853 Tylersville, at about 3:25 p.m. today and demanded money, but he did not display a gun.

A woman was driving the getaway car, a silver sedan, according to dispatchers.
