Suspect in the theft of an ATM machine from Trenton business

Police are asking for help in finding a man who took an ATM from a Trenton business early Wednesday morning.

A white male wearing a black coat, black mask, blue jeans, gray shoes and purple medical gloves entered the Leisure Laundry & Tanning on East State Street about about 3:30 a.m., sprayed paint on the security cameras and took off with the entire automated teller machine, according to Trenton police detective Sean Gill.

Store security cameras captured several images of the suspect before they were hit with spray paint.

“He definitely had a plan,” said Gill.

Two coin machines beside the ATM were not touched. There are not cameras outside the store, so police do not have a description of a vehicle that was likely used to haul the machine away.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is urged to contact Gill at 513-428-0129, or leave an anonymous tip at 513-428-0111.
