UPDATE: 4:30 p.m.: Two people were transported from a crash that occurred this afternoon at Germantown and Keister roads in Madison Twp.

One man was transported by Air Care to UC Hospital and another man was transported in an ambulance to a local hospital, said Madison Twp. Fire Chief Kent Hall. The extent of their injuries was unknown.

Three other people injured in the crash refused treatment, he said.

Hall said the crash involved a Chevy truck and a silver sedan. After the crash the truck traveled about 100 yards before hitting a tree. Several long skid marks were visible on the road.

INITIAL REPORT: Several emergency vehicles and a helicopter are responding to a multi-vehicle crash this afternoon at the corner of Germantown Road and Keister Road, according to officials.

A medical helicopter has been requested and is expected to land near the intersection. At least other person is being transported to a local hospital.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
