The two men whose Beckett Meadows condo was searched Friday afternoon in connection to the homicides of four West Chester family members say they’ll offer police “full cooperation” while investigators search.

The search warrant executed on Friday was related to the April 28 quadruple homicide a mile away in the Lakefront at West Chester apartment complex. The men who live in that condo are family members of the deceased and said they are devastated by the loss of their loved ones, and one of them added, “You can’t really recover from it.”

“Everybody was shocked when it happened, the whole community’s with us,” said one of the two men.

This news outlet is not identifying the men because of their concern that a suspect remains at large.

They called Hakiakat Singh Pannag, 59, and his wife, Parmjit Kaur, 62, their daughter, Shalinderjit Kaur, 39, and Parmjit Kaur’s sister, Amarjit Kaur, 58, “amazing people, amazing souls.”

Police called the men before they executed the search warrant, they said. They left their front door open, and an officer called when investigators finished several hours later. A vehicle also was searched. Police and a SWAT team arrived on scene just before 4:30 p.m. Friday, leaving with full boxes and bags. They made no arrests.

The men said they didn’t know what investigators were looking for, or why they searched their condo, but “will fully cooperate with police with whatever because we want justice as well.”

Three responding officers Sunday evening found Hakiakat Singh Pannag and Parmjit Kaur in their apartment at 4562 Wyndtree Drive with Shalinderjit Kaur and Amarjit Kaur with gunshot wounds in the Wyndtree Drive apartment. A frantic 911 caller, who arrived home at around 9:40 p.m., told dispatchers his family was lying on the ground and bleeding from the head.

Investigators spent two days searching in and around the Wyndtree Drive apartment, and a Bureau of Criminal Investigation dive team spent two days searching a pond adjacent to the building. West Chester police has released body camera footage and audio from radio traffic from officers responding to the crime scene.

Officers saw smoke from burning food as they entered the apartment, and one said two of the four were lying in “a good amount of blood” in the living room.

Carlisha Miner called the condo community searched on Friday “fairly quiet” and said she didn’t arrive at home until after police left. She said there hadn’t been much discussion about what happened Friday, but said it’s “kind of scary” to know police searched a condo in her building related to the death of four people about a mile away.

The two men said they are still working on details for funeral services.
