A suspect in a Liberty Twp. porch pirate case identified by Butler County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested.

Jacob Mitchell of Middletown was identified as the suspect after a total of $1,000 in reward money was offered on social media by Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

The sheriff’s office used social media to post pictures of suspect in a recent theft from a porch in Liberty Twp. The homeowner’s doorbell camera caught two photos of the suspect and the SUV he was allegedly driving.

Sgt. Kim Peters said she could not disclose the identity of the person, but $1,000 was given to the person who turned in Mitchell and gave a location of his whereabouts.

Mitchell was video arraigned Wednesday and released on his own recognizance. He was ordered to stay away from residents were the thefts were allegedly committed.
