The theft of a credit card, $400, a gym bag with five pain patches and clothes occurred between 10 p.m. Aug. 6 and 11 a.m. Aug. 7 from a room at the Capri Motel, 3256 Dixie Highway. Reported total value is $520.
The theft of a speaker box with two subwoofers and an amplifier occurred between 11 p.m. Aug. 7 and 9 a.m. Aug. 8 from a vehicle parked on Merlin Drive after someone broke the passenger side window. Reported total value is $580.
Deanna Faith Ashurst, 19, of Fairfield, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 400 block of Nilles Road on suspicion of burglary.
The theft of an iPod, amplifier, multimedia receiver and a touch-screen monitor between 2 and 8 a.m. Aug. 9 from a vehicle parked on South Timber Hallow Drive after someone shattered the front passenger side window. Reported total value is $1,650. Reported damage is $250.
The theft of a 24-foot box truck occurred between 12:30 p.m. Aug. 9 and 8 a.m. Aug. 10 parked at Avis Rent-A-Car, 5140 Dixie Highway. Reported value is $30,000.
Hamilton Police Department
Matthew Waltner,
19, was arrested Aug. 6 for breaking and entering. Police report Waltner was found in a shed on the 1300 block of Clearview Place going through items. He was arrested there at 2:30 a.m.
On Aug. 6 multiple suspects ganged up on a victim and hit a male in the head with hammers, police report. The victim was attacked at 9:51 p.m. at his residence on the 100 block of Beckett Street.
Between 4 p.m. Aug. 5 and 11:40 a.m. Aug.7, someone stole more than $2,500 worth of items from a residence on the 3300 block of Waterfowl Lane. Police report the suspect kicked in the front door of the residence and took the items, including a flat screen television, an Xbox, jewelry, a computer and a surround sound system.
Shenanigans Café was broken into Aug. 8 between 3 a.m. and 8:25 a.m. Someone removed the door off the hinges, turned the surveillance camera around and ransacked the business, police report. More than $100 in cash was stolen. The items were discovered missing when the complainant arrived to open the store.
An unknown suspect broke into a house on Harrison Avenue Aug. 9. Police report the suspect took more than $3500 worth of items, including gold jewelry, $600 in cash and a Nintendo Wii console and games.
Police report an HD television was stolen from a residence on the first block of Beverly Court. The television was worth $500.
On Aug, 9, someone broke down the door of a residence on the 400 block of Fallert Avenue and threatened the victim. Police report that when a neighbor went to the scene to assist the victim, the suspect left.
About $500 and various medications were stolen Aug. 10. The items were stolen from a residence on the first block of Douglas Lane, police report.
On Aug. 10, someone entered a residence on the 1800 block of Princeton Road and stole a flat screen television, valued at $584. Police report and unknown suspect broke in while the victim went to dinner.
Between July 20 and Aug. 11, someone stole various gold and sterling silver jewelry from a residence on Booth Avenue. Police report 10 jewelry items and $10 in quarters were stolen.
Someone was robbed of $120 to $150 as he walked on Seventh and Joe Nuxhall Boulevard Aug. 11, police report. Between 6:25 a.m. and 6:35 a.m., two suspects drove up to the victim in a vehicle and then attacked him with pocket knives. The victim was cut in the arm. The suspects kicked him until he gave them the money in his wallet. The victim was taken to The Fort Hamilton Hospital for treatment.
West Chester Twp. Police Department
A Loveland man
was arrested recently after police said he attempted to steal a shopping cart load of pet supplies. Anthony C. Raicot, 22, of the 3400 block of Riverwood Lane was charged with one count of first-degree misdemeanor theft. West Chester Twp. police said during the evening hours of Aug. 6, Raicot entered Meijer, 7390 Tylersville Road, selected 41 items off the shelves — including toys, food and cat litter — worth more than $425, and tried to leave the store without paying. He was later cited and released to his mother.
Someone broke into two vehicles by busting out the passenger side windows during the afternoon of Aug. 8 while the vehicles were parked in the 9400 block of Civic Center Boulevard. Once inside, the thief stole global positioning devices, a handbag, a Bible and other items. Total estimated value of the items stolen and damaged is $2,775, and there are no suspects at this time.
Two Liberty Twp. women were arrested in West Chester Twp. last week after police said they attempted to steal various items from Meijer, 7390 Tylersville Road. Judy L. Geese, 62, and Jamie R. Western, 39, both of the 6900 block of Woodland View Drive, were each charged with one count of felony theft and possession of criminal tools; both are fifth-degree felonies. Police said the women selected nearly $580 worth of groceries and miscellaneous items from the shelves at Meijer and attempted to leave the store without paying. They were cited and transported to the Butler County Jail.
Someone stole eight pieces of various jewelry from a residence in the 8300 block of LeSourdsville-West Chester Road between July 31 and Aug. 5, after breaking into the home by unknown means. Once since, the thief stole more than $2,400 worth of jewelry, and there are no suspects at this time.
Someone stole an estimated $20,000 worth of die stamps sometime between July 13-27 from Brainin-Deer Park Die & Stamping, 4348 LeSaint Court. There are no suspects at this time.
Someone broke into AWP Realty, 9059 Gold Park Drive, sometime between July 31-Aug. 3 by cutting a gate lock and stole a trailer worth $1,800. There are no suspects at this time.
Someone caused an estimated $8,000 in damages to a home in the 6600 block of South Hampton Lane overnight July 6, including the home's electrical, audio and plumbing systems. There are no suspects at this time.
