Police investigating two deaths at Middletown residence

Two people were found dead on Sunday at a Middletown residence, and police are investigating the incident as fatal overdoses.

Middletown officers were called to a residence in the 3100 block of Wilbraham Road at about 6:10 p.m. to check on the welfare of the residents. A man and woman had not been seen since Friday, and a dog had not been let out.

A 53-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were found in the bedroom dead, according to Maj. Scott Reeve.

Crime scene tape was wrapped around the residence while detectives investigated. Reeve said there were no signs of foul play and the deaths are believed to be from overdoses.
