Someone fired three shots Monday night into the Muslim family’s home, narrowly missing two members of the family inside, according to a release from the Muslim civil rights group. Family members say they may have been targeted because they displayed lights outside the house marking the month-long fast of Ramadan.
Several family members also wear Islamic head scarves, or hijab.
Shots were reportedly fired about 11 p.m. Monday on Stone Ridge Lane. One round struck a house, according to police. No one was injured.
The department is asking any residents in that area with information to call the Monroe Police Department at 513-539-9234.
