Police: Carlisle bank robbery suspect found in Indiana casino

A man who allegedly robbed a Carlisle bank was located and arrested in an Indiana casino, according to Carlisle police.

Mark Lunsford, 59, of Fairfield Twp., was found Thursday night at Hollywood Casino & Hotel in Lawrenceburg, Ind., according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page.

Lunsford is being held at Deerborn County Jail in Indiana. He was charged with robbery and the department will be furthering its investigation, police said.

According to Carlisle police, a man entered the People’s Bank in Carlisle about 3:36 p.m. Thursday and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

Police said the man left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were displayed and no one was harmed during the incident.

After posting a picture of the suspect on Facebook, Carlisle police said the “tips that came in were very helpful in our investigation.”
