The Kroger assistant manager called Middletown police Friday afternoon after he noticed the machine had been emptied, according to the police report.

A video showed an older man walking into the break room Thursday night and using a screwdriver to remove the padlock on the outside of the machine, the report said.

The subject then used another tool to open the machine and retrieve the container that held the change.

A subject matching that man’s description and a woman were later seen getting into an older pick-up truck in the parking lot, according to the police report.
