OVI checkpoint results released for Butler County

UPDATE @ 7:00 p.m. (Aug. 25):

A total of 400 vehicles passed through the OVI checkpoint Friday night in the 2200 block of S. Erie Highway near the Hamilton Municipal Garage, according to Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force Coordinator.

One arrest was made, five were cited for no driver license, three were cited for suspensions, one was cited for expired plates and fictitious plates, two were cited for no child restraint, two were arrested on outstanding warrants, one was charged with possession of drug instruments/needles, one violation of temporary drivers permit and 10 vehicles were towed.

FIRST REPORT (Aug. 24):

The Butler County OVI Task Force will be conducting an OVI checkpoint tonight, Aug. 24, in Hamilton.

The OVI checkpoint will start at 10 p.m. and end no later than 2 a.m., according to the Task Force. The checkpoint will be located along northbound Ohio 4, specifically the 2200 block of S. Erie Hwy. near the Hamilton Municipal Garage.
